Welcome to St. Jonah the Wonderworker Orthodox Mission Station of the Orthodox Church in America.  Located in Alpine, we are an outpost mission for the Big Bend region of southwest Texas serving an area with a radius of 200 miles.  We invite Orthodox from all backgrounds as well as those seeking more information on Orthodoxy to join us. 

Father John Filipovich is in residence in Alpine but also serves the mission in Georgetown, Texas.  His schedule currently permits him to be in Alpine during the week and on the first and third weekends of every month to celebrate Vespers and Divine Liturgy.  The remaining Sundays we meet for Typica (Reader's services) and fellowship at 10:00 AM.  All our services are in English.  Beginning May 20, 2009 a weekly Wednesday evening Vespers will be celebrated at 6:00 PM, followed by classes.  See our monthly schedule for the complete schedule of services.
